PHILOSOPHY:

As a basic philosophy of the youth ministry, we believe that the home and the family unit, led by the parents is the primary influence upon the spiritural life and growth of the youth. The role of the church in youth ministry is to support and encourage home life so that parents are encouraged and enabled to:

  • Live out a Christian enviroment in the home.
  • Have the tools and understanding necessarily to care for spiritual needs and engage in the spiritual life of their family members.
  • Support the family ministry with the fellowship of MBC and supporting programs to aid in the spiritual development of the youth.

VISION:

At MBC, we recognize the importance of inspiring the next generation for Jesus Christ. Passing this faith to our youth is both a great responsibility and an incredible privilege. We are advocates for teen-aged men and women, helping them to be critical thinkers and to reach their own generation and the world around them.

It is the goal of our student ministry to help families develop a spiritual foundation that equips each member to live out the Christian lifestyle. Our vision for the Youth Ministry is to develop a community of young adults who are experiencing the joy of a relationship with God, who recognize God's purpose for their lives, and who seek to know God more. We desire our youth to make Him known to others while simulaneously building healthy friendships and experiencing meaningful fellowship. In general, we desire our Youth Ministry to enhance what parents are doing at home, but not entirely replace it.

GOALS:

  • Worship: Help youth understand how to worship God and express worship in all of life.
  • Discipleship: Give them an opportunity to learn, grow, and serve as disciples of Jesus.
  • Ministry: Help them discover how God has uniquely made them to serve Him and people
  • Fellowship: Give them a safe harbor with fun and meaningful relationships with the entire church family.
  • Evangelism: Give them opportunities to receive Christ and share God's loving invitation of salvations and wholeness with others.
