Children's Ministry at Macedonia Baptist Church

The Preschool and Children's Ministries at Macedonia are designed to help our smallest learners to Believe, Belong and Become. They learn to Believe from an early age that Jesus is their friend and will help them when they ask. They learn to Belong to a loving church family that teaches the Bible. They learn to Become more like Jesus when they are challenged through their Bible study opportunities!

Our goal is to partner with the parents of our children and to supplement, in a larger group setting, what the parent is teaching at home. We understand our role as one that can help families, but not take the place of families! We expect our parents to be involved in the growing and nurturing process that takes place at Macedonia Baptist Church. To be sure we are a safe environment for our kids, we do require all of our workers to be members of Macedonia for at least 6 months and we require a background check before working with our kids! Learning Opportunities for your Child

We have many opportunities for boys and girls to come together with loving teachers and friends to learn about Jesus!

Sunday Mornings:

9:15am: We have Sunday School classes for all ages of children and adults.

10:30am: We have Extended Teaching Care for children birth through PreK during the adult worship service. We also have a Quiet Room available for parents of small children who may need to step out of the service for a short time.

We also have Worship Kid Style during the adult worship service for children Kindergarten through 2nd grade. This is a time of age appropriate worship and a training time to prepare them to be able to participate in a Christian Worship experience. All children 3rd grade and up experience Family Worship by staying with the parents during the 10:30am service. Parents are encouraged to pick up a Children's Bulletin for their child outside of Haley's office to help their child to engage more fully into the worship experience.

Sunday Evenings:

6:00pm: We have Missions classes for all children 3 years old through 6th grade. This is a great opportunity for our children to begin to believe that God loves all people, and that it is our Christian duty to tell all people about His love.

We also have child care available for those younger than 3 years old.

Wednesday Evenings:

6:00-7:30pm: We have TeamKID classes each Wednesday night for children 3 years through 4th grade. TeamKID is a recreational based Bible learning experience for Preschoolers and Children. They are divided into age appropriate classes, taught by loving teachers, and learn many things: Bible lessons, Scripture memorization, Missions, Music, among many other things! Children 1st-4th grade are earning points every time they come to TeamKID and multiple times throughout the year will have the opportunity to trade their points for great prizes at the TeamKID store!

We also have a new, exciting Preteen Ministry that meets on Wednesday Nights, from 6:00-7:30pm, and is ONLY for 5th and 6th graders. We study through a curriculum called "Everything You Need to Know to Be a Teenager" and we do service projects, Preteen Parties, and many other exciting things each year!
