OVERVIEW
Each day at Macedonia Pre-school children learn and interact with other children their own age. We offer a wide variety of educational information that will give them a head start for elementary school. Along with learning their colors, numbers, and ABC's, they learn all the wonderful stories of Jesus and how much He loves each of us. We, as providers, feel that this learning not only prepares children for a solid education, but it also prepares them for a solid life.
OUR STAFF
Mrs. Lori Willadsen is our Daycare Director and has served Macedonia in this capacity for 16 years now. She is assisted by Teresa Dean. We also have a wonderful staff of teachers that work very hard every day to teach and love our children.
OUR DAILY SCHEDULE
Our doors are open at 6:00 am each day. We offer every child breakfast to ensure their day starts off right. Classes begin at 8:00 am. It is during this time that they learn, play, do crafts, and have a mid-morning snack. Lunch is served from 11:00-12:00, followed by nap time. After nap, the children are offered another snack and more play time and learning. Soon, Mom's and Dad's are off work and on their way to pick up their child before we have to close our doors for the day at 6:00 pm.
SCHOOL AGE PROGRAMS
We also offer a Before & After School Program and a Summer Program for our school age children. In our Before & After Program, the children have an opportunity to do crafts, play games, and learn Bible stories. Here they begin to work on memorization and how they can apply God's truths to their every day life at home and at school. Our Summer Program is a lot of fun and very busy. The kids get to go on two or three field trips each week, do arts and crafts and develop spiritually.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Our current enrollment is 138 children from the ages of 6 weeks to twelve years. We follow all state laws and are inspected annually by the Health Department, the Fire Marshall, and the Division of Family Services. We are located at 3110 W. Sunshine in Springfield, MO.
